Spectacular, Top Notch Computer – Great Buy!!!,
Extremely happy and quite elated with my computer!!! I purchased the ASUS K73E-A1 17-inch laptop in Mocha on July 31, 2011 and it arrived promptly in two days….the outside packaging should have been better as the initial box was way too big for the item boxed inside. However, the computer box itself was very sturdy and well packed, which protected the item well throughout the delivery process – thank goodness! There is not much bloatware on this system but I did remove a few programs I did not want, which came with the package. Still, the vaule given for what I received was not lessened in any way by the aforementioned.
The computer is super easy to set up right out of the box and the Mocha color is extraordinary – such a deep, rich, and intriguing shade of chocolate brown, which amazed me because typically I do not order anything in brown…but the color on the site was so engaging and did not dissappoint!! My dad loves the color brown and I was tired of the same old black or silver grey computer colors…so I tried something new this time and have not regretted it since. The 6 gig RAM is terrific and the 640 hard drive is more than sufficient for my professional and personal use. It’s a quite system with no over-heating issues; very cool.
Additionally, the texture of the outside cover is unique and very eye catching. It’s quite a professional looking piece of artistry, which in my opinion, out shines my two year old 17.3 shiny black Toshiba and my five year old silvery grey matte finish Sony Vaio. The speed of the machine is lightening quick and the touch pad is very responsive and so smooth to the touch. The inside of the computer is simiply beautiful…the keys are spaced and sized correctly and the material used to trim the inside is masterfully smooth and feels wonderful against the wrist; the rich bronze color is captivating.
I am a third year doctoral student and take online classes so this computer suits my needs perfectly. I am also an avid music lover and store a lot of music typically on my systems including using jump drives for extra needed storage. I would love to have a back-lit keyboard, which this system does not have but I can live without it on this model because everything else the computer possess still makes this a superior value! I can’t highly recommend this computer enough – it’s efficient, power packed, beautifully designed/well-packaged by ASUS and very easy on the eyes. A joy to use and own!!!

It is a very nice machine, but I expected it to be faster than it is. But, I am a very demanding user and computer tech. Most users would find this machine to be an excellent computer. I should have went for the i7 quad core processor, but didn’t have the extra cash. Live and learn!
Amazon is an awesome place to shop ! Shipping is almost always overnight and their products are always just as advertised, which is very important when you can’t see and try what you are buying.

Excellent laptop for the price. Large hard drive and RAM capabilities make it extremely fast and quite a looker as well.
