It is generally true in the world the impression that if you need a printer to a heavy workload, you’ll probably need a printer heavy: A glance at the packaging that the Photosmart Pro B8850 reaches tells you immediately that you need two people to set it up.

Weighing in at 17.1 kilograms out of the box, you might think that the B8850 bears a remarkable similarity with the Photosmart Pro B9180, which is the first serious photographic HP printers use pigment inks Vivera. It has the same rectangular solid centre-forward thrust input and output trays, monitoring indicators and simple drop-down cartridge load compartment.

The coincidence, of course, is deliberate because it is actually a cheaper (£ 100), no-frills version of the B9180 which dispenses with two notable features to set prices. First, there is no LCD screen so that all printing parameters are handled directly by the software provided on your PC. Secondly, there is no Ethernet connection as it is assumed you will not need a network of entry. It is, however, usually the USB port to establish that all important link with the computer to help you get started.

Besides connecting power, your main task is to establish insert 8 print cartridges (photo black, matte black, gray, cyan, magenta, yellow, cyan and magenta clear bright) and 4 print heads, make – drag in HP provided advanced glossy photo paper, then leave the machine to calibrate for the next half an hour.

As it is a machine to process up to A3 + paper, it is the same specialty drop-down tray at the front as the B9180, and paper only feeds straight and back . Others include a useful aid Photosmart Pro plug-in for Adobe Photoshop users and a printer diagnostic automatic check every 24 hours as long as food is left running.

Regarding the photo quality, the results speak for themselves. Even A3 + glossy production of strategy papers pointed an excellent tonal balance and true color reproduction and specialists in fine art and canvas surfaces will be extremely impressed by the exit to these documents heavy. In terms of life cartridges, each cartridge is holding 27ml – about double that of its competitors.

Review HP Laser 1006

Given the number of all-in-one printers and color specialist on the market, you might wonder why it is still necessary for monochrome printers at home or office. Well, sometimes it is a matter of budget, but there are enough customers who are relatively modest printing needs, and most of them are standard documents and perhaps some envelopes.

This is the “small market horizon that HP has tried its P1006 laser printer. It is small and compact (347 x 224 x 194 mm) and not put on the back to a mere 4.7 kg. Simply because it is small does not mean it can not be too elegant, so HP has given the current cool chic silver and black beauty.

An initial surprise when you turn the machine on the packaging is that there is no physical implementation manual, you must use your own judgement about which bands and labels must be removed in any order. This will be boring for newcomers as you will find instructions on the installation CD by HP or its website.

However, implementation is relatively simple, with a drop-down paper tray at the front which holds 150 sheets of A4 and a fixed 10-sheet multipurpose tray above it which is designed to hold media (including envelopes, labels, postcards and vellum). The printer cartridge slides in effort at the top and there is a simple On / Off button at the front and a Cancel button on top. Apart from the USB 2.0 port and power of entry to the rear, this is your lot.

Working at a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, the P1006 features at a reasonable speed of 266MHz processor, use 8 MB of memory and has a high (city) print speed of 16ppm, with the first page emerging about 9 seconds. There is no double-sided, so you have to turn the sheets around manually if you want double-sided printing and, as recommended page monthly volume varies from a mere 250 to 1500, which n That is clearly not the printer to use if you have large documents to be produced on a regular basis.

In terms of quality, different font sizes and types appeared with crisp, clear detail and there was no rupture of relatively complex charts and diagrams. As you’d expect, the results were significantly better than any comparable price inkjet printer and printing noise around average for a machine this size and weight – that is to say quite acceptable. It might be good to keep in mind if you’re attracted by this printer for only a little more, the model P1500 provides network connection.

HP and Canon were slugging it out for some time now in pursuit of the ultimate all-in-one printer, with the Holy Grail is the machine that can provide excellent quality and speed, combined with chic and practice the design more affordable prices. Inevitably, neither company has managed the final, but each new ramp upgrade a step closer to that goal.

The latest HP Photosmart focused mainly on improving network connection and the quality of image reproduction. The main physical differences between the old series C6200 and C7200 the new series are more than 50 sheets ADF documents on the top and pushed forward controls, which now include a series of fax programming buttons.

The 100-sheet tray still protrudes ahead with the automatic 20 sheets, 10 x 15cm photo paper tray above. The LCD screen at the far left of the control panel is 6.1cm in size and allows you to perform a low-cut series of orders from major software Photosmart Essential. Also, the same set of memory card slots is in place at the right front, ready to print or copy directly from CompactFlash, SD, Multimedia Card, Memory Stick and MS Pro.

What is new is the wireless networking 802.11g capacity, and configuration via the LCD menu is remarkably effective. Just ask the machine to search for the router and it appears once confirmed, you’re at work and if you do not have WiFi then there’s the standard USB and Ethernet.

Setting up the fax is a little more complicated, but if you follow the LCD or instruction manual, you should have no difficulty to be operational within a few minutes. Up to 90 A4 pages Faxes can be stored in memory, which is excellent for business, but also miserable for spam faxes.

In terms of speed, there is virtually no improvement over the series C6200, printing and copy the best prices 34ppm in black and 33ppm color documents. The 10 x 15cm photos averaged around 12 seconds to basic settings when printing and memory card via a PC, moving to 15 minutes when scanning the highest resolution (4800 x 4800 DPI). Fortunately, the function duplex automatic remains the last round and did not involve large add-ons to the rear of the unit, each page is simply sucked into the machine and back is printed.

HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One – multifunction ( color )

The print quality is consistently high on all copying and printing functions, with colors often so strong and real they seem to have the page, and blacks are solid and consistent. Digital photos will be tweaked to default settings, though, as photos outdoors tends to give foliage yellow hue.

At Laserjet (Hewlett-Packard PSC series 1000, 1100 and 1200), if not apply the sticker attached for the first time included, the bug occurs printer.
The whole chip is that on the label is a bar-code, which sets the inclusion in the first region (or something similar), where the printer will be used, and even some primary data initialization. And without stickers not to cut into, who they are and where it :-)

Readable code scanner is happening (such as scanners from BENQ), and on the same strip scanner sees edge.

On the label says in the description, and on top of the scanner lid glued paper with the words and drawings about. In some firm’s sticker placed at the right place at preparation.

If you apply the sticker after the first inclusion, very small percentage of what the printer will work: he ceases to see their homes cartridges (on my HP PSC 1010 has not seen a black 27 – a cartridge, but with 56 – m worked fine …) This program-utility somehow affects the cartridge, although I really think that to the printer and it also influences.
