LEXMARK Z1520 Review

Lexmark has more consumers and inkjet all-in-one that probably any other manufacturer of printers. The Z1520 is at the upper end of society single-function printer range wireless connectivity and includes double-sided printing as a whole features.

Style in white, silver, gray and black, it continues the functional blocks recent search Lexmark launches. A smoky, black plastic paper folds at the back of the machine take up to 100 sheets of paper and a grey telescopic output tray of slides on the front. To the right of the output tray are two memory card slots, which between them to take most types of maps, with a PictBridge connect directly to a camera.

At the rear is a wireless antenna, so you can connect the printer to a wireless network, if you briefly connect using the USB cable provided in the first place, while putting in place. Setting up the printer via the link is quite simple and Lexmark support software is well presented and logically stated. The printer ink cartridges double that clip under the top cover to complete the installation.

The print speeds are unimpressive, with five pages of text, taking 64 seconds via a USB port and 58 seconds via WiFi – it is rare that the wireless link to be faster. The five pages of text and graphics test took two and three-quarter and two and a half minutes, respectively. Printing from a PictBridge camera is particularly slow, taking nearly a minute longer feel the same image from a PC.

The only area where print speeds are relatively well printing duplex, where the two parts of the document are printed in a single term. Although our 20-page test print took a little less than five minutes, it is still faster than similar machines from Canon, for example.

The print quality suffers the type of text flag that Lexmark printers were often criticized. The ink bleeds in fiber paper, which gives an appearance somewhat blurred the page. Color printing is better, with good momentum and many shades of detail, but not so much in the dark areas of the photo printed. We also noticed marks Bush flows rolls printed on the photo.

The cost of printing work to 3.7p and 8.7p for ISO black and color pages, respectively. These figures are reasonable
